bitumen K1-70

General Description of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion K1-70

Bitumen Emulsion consists of three primary ingredients: Bitumen, an emulsifying agent, and water. Moreover, Bitumen Emulsion K1-70 contains a minimum of 67% Bitumen and is commonly used for tack-coating. Additionally, it is a medium viscosity, cationic rapid-set bitumen emulsion, ideal for tack coating in normal overlay and patching work. Furthermore, it can be used for grouting and is manufactured according to KS 02-769: 1990 standards.

Uses of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion K1-70

  • Firstly, single surface treatment enhances durability.
  • Secondly, multiple surface treatment ensures long-lasting performance.
  • In addition, sand seal provides better surface protection.

It is also suitable for penetration macadam, especially for small voids. Moreover, K1-70 can be used as a tack coat in special cases such as night construction or high humidity. Since cationic emulsions are applicable at ambient temperatures, they work with aggregates that do not need to be completely dry. As a result, they are less hazardous and versatile under various conditions.

Application of Cationic Emulsion Bitumen K1-70

Interestingly, Bitumen Emulsion K1-70 can be applied at ambient temperatures. In fact, the recommended spray rate ranges from 0.25 to 0.70 liters per square meter (0.05 to 0.15 gallons per square yard), depending on the specific application needs. Consequently, it ensures optimal performance.

Packing of Cationic Emulsion Bitumen K1-70

  • Bulk packaging in IBC Tanks or Flexi Tanks, which allows for efficient transport.
  • Reconditioned steel drums (200 liters), providing sustainable storage.
  • Additionally, new steel drums (200 liters) ensure product integrity.
