High-Quality Bitumen 115/25 from Iran – Soft Grade for Every Need
Home » High-Quality Bitumen 115/25 from Iran – Soft Grade for Every Need
General Description of Bitumen 115/25
Oxidized Bitumen 115/25 is a hard, heat-resistant blown asphalt grade with a
high softening point and low penetration. It is engineered for industrial
membranes, mastics, protective coatings, and other construction uses where
durability and thermal stability are essential.
How Is Bitumen 115/25 Produced?
The base bitumen (from vacuum distillation) is air-blown under controlled
conditions to modify its rheology. A gaseous oxidizing agent is dispersed
into the bituminous mass at ~170–250 °C to reach the target softening
point and penetration. Process control ensures uniform quality and
batch-to-batch consistency.
Uses of Bitumen 115/25
Typical applications include:
- Industrial roofing and waterproofing membranes
- Mastics, adhesives, and protective coatings
- Crack sealing and maintenance of pavements
- Pipe coating and corrosion protection
- Asphalt-based paints and primers for metals
- Insulation and various building components
Packing of Bitumen 115/25
Gold Bitumen supplies Bitumen 115/25 in meltable plastic bags (~25 kg),
kraft/carton bags on pallets, steel drums, and export bulk (bitutainer/tanker).
Grade numbers indicate the typical softening point (°C) and penetration (dmm).
For example, 115/25 ≈ softening point 115 °C and penetration ~25 dmm.
Our products are tested to relevant ASTM / EN methods.
For all oxidized grades, see the Oxidized Bitumen category.
Guarantee and Warranty of Bitumen 115/25
Each shipment is quality-checked by our in-house QC with batch test reports,
and third-party inspection can be arranged during loading. Products are
verified against applicable ASTM methods and EN 13304:2009.

Oxidized Bitumen 115/25 — Frequently Asked Questions
What is Oxidized Bitumen 115/25 used for?
A hard, heat-resistant blown bitumen grade for membranes, mastics, protective coatings, pipe coating, and crack sealing.
What do “115” and “25” mean?
“115” ≈ softening point (°C) and “25” ≈ penetration (dmm) at 25 °C. Together they indicate a hard grade with high heat resistance.
Which standards/tests apply?
Typical references: ASTM D36 (softening), ASTM D5 (penetration), ASTM D6 (loss on heating), ASTM D92 (flash), ASTM D4/D2042 (solubility), ASTM D113 (ductility as needed), and EN 13304:2009.
What packaging options are available?
Meltable bags (~25 kg), kraft/carton on pallets, steel drums, and export bulk (bitutainer/tanker) depending on project size.
Do you deliver to the UAE and provide TDS/SDS?
Yes. Manufactured in Iran by PetroGold with fast UAE deliveries. TDS/SDS and third-party inspection are available on request.
Any storage and handling advice?
Store under cover, away from rain/sun; heat gradually with indirect heating and follow TDS/MSDS to avoid thermal degradation.
