BitumenClass|BitumenC160|bitumen C320|bitumenC450|bitumen

Bitumen class is belong to Australia paving grade and it is using in perforce roads in Oceania. Bitumen class is normally using in spray sealing and using in manufacturing of modified bitumen. Some of bitumen class like 170 is used in cold and bitumen class 320 using in high temperature.

Bitumen class is producing as per Australian standard based on AS2008.Storage and temperature of keeping each grade is different. Sparing temperature is between 175 to 185 for 5 days but mixing temperature is 140 to 170 for 10 days and storage is 120 to 140 for 30 days.

Paving grade bitumen are categorized according to viscosity (degree of fluidity) grads.

Bitumen Class 170

Bitumen class 170 is widely used in sprayed sealing and light asphalt applications to provide durability and fatigue resistance. It is also used to manufacture cutback bitumen’s, bitumen emulsions and modified bitumens.

Bitumen class 320

Bitumen class 320 is most commonly used to manufacture asphalt mixes. Due to its higher viscosity, stiffer asphalt mixes can be produced to improve resistance to shoving and other problems associated with higher temperature and traffic loads.

Bitumen Class 600

Bitumen class 600 is primarily used to manufacture extra heavy-duty asphalt pavements that need to endure substantial traffic loadings.
